LA - English YR - 2007 UL - https://ds.mainlib.upd.edu.ph/Record/UP-99796217608947293 AB - This study aimed to promote indigenization of the environmental education (EE) curriculum by identifying and categorizing the community resources, practices and beliefs of the community folks and tribal leaders of Brooke's Point, Palawan, and to determine the effectiveness of using indigenous instructional materials on the pupils' performance and attitude towards the environment. Data were gathered using Enviromental Awareness Test and Attitude Scale Towards the Environment, as well as through interview guide questionnaires. It was found that the integration of indigenous instruction materials with the existing curriculum materials has helped enhance pupils' awareness and positive attitude toward the environment in the development of science concepts about LAND.
