Jef Verschueren
Jef Verschueren is a Belgian linguist, academic, and author. He is an emeritus professor of Linguistics at the University of Antwerp.Verschueren is most known for his work on semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, and discourse analysis. Among his authored works are his publications in academic journals, including ''Journal of Pragmatics'', ''Journal of Linguistic Anthropology, Pragmatics'', and ''Language in Society'' as well as books such as ''Handbook of Pragmatics'', ''Debating Diversity, Analysing the Discourse of Tolerance'', ''Ideology in Language Use'' and ''Complicity in discourse and practice''.
